I remember the first year we played at Dalby the brass all stood up at the back for the whole gig. It was the first time I had stood for a whole concert in a long time and I was knackered by the end. I think that was the day I decided to try the ukulele...
Righty ho. Erm, in the first one you might spot that a certain baritone saxophonist is not quite dressed as the others are. It was Old Dalby Day (now, sadly, no more) and I had been booked both to dance with my Morris side, and play with |BBB. It made more sense for me to play in white than dance in black!
And for this week Liz has sent in two photos from the archive she particularly liked. Liz can you tell us why you chose these, and if anyone has any requests for tonight's remaining pieces shout out now...
Before we start I should let everyone know Mike and Carol have both gone down with Covid-19. They said I could share it, they are both doing okay, Mike has lost his taste for red wine apparently, but they are just experiencing mild flu symptoms so far. If anyone wants to send me or JJ an email we can forward it to them for you.
thanks and bye

Spare a thought for the bass and guitar on our plates of meat all the time with such heavy instruments across our shoulders. Cue mock sympathy
When I was teaching, Old Dalby marked the end of the summer holidays, because in Leics we always had a teacher day the next day
