Melting in bank holiday weekend sun (!)
GLASTONBISHOP / OLD DALBY DAY
Sunday 27th Aug For the third year in a row the Belvoir Big Band opened the
at the Wheatsheaf pub in Cropwell Bishop. Martin & Jo put on a great afternoon for everyone and the audience, as ever, was terrific. The sun shone and it was hot - both with the weather and the music. Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the event.
Bank Holiday Monday 28th August - saw us at the Old Dalby Day where we played on the
village green main arena. The band played for anhour to an appreciative audience. The
breezy day made things a little difficult with flapping sheet music and the sound was blown
about but we persevered... This was first gig where we introduced a couple of vocal songs. It was Chris' debut and he stole the show - with a couple of Sinatra numbers. Well done Chris!
Old Dalby Day was so hot that drummer Paul melted away...
